Welcome to the Site

My name is Mark Waters and I have been playing with computers for over 20 years and with Open Source since about 1998 , now I think its time I gave something back to the community so I have setup this site with the intention of helping out new Linux users and perhaps a few old hands as well.

I tried getting syndication working out of a Mediawiki installation all day yesterday but have given up and installed Drupal instead , I`ve never really used it before but it looks nice , has a thriving community , plenty of modules / themes / extras and seems to work very well.

The HTML syntax is taking a bit of getting used to after using Mediawiki markup for the last 18 months but I`ll get used to it eventually.

I hope to build a mine of useful information up in the the book as well as writing a few blog entries about what software and hardware I have been playing with recently.
